THE ARCHITECT
YANIV PARDO
The new residential building located in the
Prophet Jonah Street is part of the renovation the
historic center of Tel-Aviv and the Kerem Temanim
Neighborhood is undergoing.I planned the project in
order to preserve the characteristics of the existing
lifestyle in this green, intimate street.
The idea which guided the planning process was to
define the original components of the international
style, out of an understanding of the building as a
volume, rather than a combination of fronts. The
construction materials for the envelope are silicate
bricks and exposed architect concrete, which
together with the apertures generate a composition
of full and lacking modules.
יניב פרדו
בניין המגורים החדש הממוקם ברחוב יונה הנביא הוא
חלק מההתחדשות של המרכז ההיסטורי של תל אביב
ושכונת "כרם התימנים". תכננתי את הפרויקט במטרה
לשמר את המאפיינים של המרקם הקיים ואת איכות
החיים ברחוב האינטימי והירוק.
הרעיון שהוביל את תהליך התכנון היה לאפיין את
המרכיבים המקוריים של הסגנון הבינלאומי מתוך הבנה
של הבניין כנפח ולא כחיבור של חזיתות. חומרי הבנייה
של המעטפת הם לבני סיליקט לבנים ובטון אדריכלי
חשוף, שביחד עם הפתחים יוצרים קומפוזיציה של
מודולים מלאים וחסרים.
